Overview
The Botanical Building in Balboa Park is a breathtaking architectural wonder and one of the largest lath structures in the entire world, built originally for the 1915 exposition. The historic wood-lath greenhouse framework houses a magnificent, dense collection of more than 2,100 permanent tropical plants, including exotic orchids, vibrant bromeliads, and carnivorous species. Framed perfectly by a stunning lily pond in the foreground, it remains one of San Diego's most iconic and photographed locations.
