Overview
Castle in the Clouds (or Lucknow) is a 16-room mansion and 5,294-acre (2,142 ha) mountaintop estate in Moultonborough, New Hampshire, opened seasonally to the public by the Castle Preservation Society. It overlooks Lake Winnipesaukee and the Ossipee Mountains from a rocky outcropping of Lee Mountain formerly known as "The Crow's Nest". The surrounding woodlands are protected by the Lakes Region Conservation Trust's, Castle in the Clouds Conservation Area.

Getting ThereSituated high in the Ossipee Mountains in Moultonborough at 455 Old Mountain Road. Driving is essential due to the high-alpine mountain grade. Off NH-25 N, turn right south onto NH-109 S, follow the signs onto Old Mountain Road winding up the cliff side. Spaciously laid out, the historic trust provides massive free paved surface parking at the base lodge and summit.
