- A standard Exhibit Ticket only covers the indoor walk-through, excluding outdoor amusement rides and the iconic shark tunnel train. Purchasing the All-Day Adventure Pass upfront avoids highly marked-up individual ride tickets on-site.
- Even with online e-tickets, you must queue at the outdoor physical ticket booths to exchange them for paper entry bands, a process that frequently takes upwards of 30 minutes during peak weekend windows.
- Outside food, drinks, and lawn or folding chairs are strictly prohibited. To view the massive 150,000-gallon center tank without buying an attraction ticket, simply book a table at the attached Aquarium Restaurant, which requires no admission fee.

- The general admission value is quite low, as the actual exhibit space is remarkably small and takes just 40 minutes. It feels like a bad deal unless you buy the extra rides pass.
- The property is packed with aggressive upcharges. Riding the train, the carousel, or buying stingray food all require separate ticket fees, making the commercial push feel too heavy.
- The on-site surface parking lot is heavily overpriced. During peak weekend hours, crowd density skyrockets, filling the tight indoor walkways with strollers and making it very noisy.
- The artificial glare in some exhibit zones is poorly adjusted, and several older tank windows suffer from noticeable scratches, slightly ruining photo clarity and landscape view.
