Overview
Mount Hermon () is a mountain cluster constituting the southern end of the Anti-Lebanon Mountains. Its summit straddles the border between Syria and Lebanon and, at 2,814 m (9,232 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in Syria and the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. On the top, in the United Nations buffer zone between Syrian and Israeli-occupied territories, is the highest permanently manned UN position in the world, known as "Hermon Hotel", located at 2,814 metres (9,232 ft).

Best TimeThe operating season is strictly restricted to winter snowfall from mid-December through mid-March. The peak operational time is Friday or Saturday nights from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM to experience their fully illuminated slopes for night skiing. Gliding down the trails under floodlights followed by a warm cup of hot cocoa inside the rustic base lodge is a classic Maine winter tradition.
Getting ThereLocated in the western countryside at 24 Ski Slope Road (off Newburgh Road) in Hermon, Maine. Drive 15–20 minutes from downtown Bangor by following US-2 West (Hammond Street) for about 8 miles, turning left onto Newburgh Road, and following signs for 1.5 miles to the large complimentary ski lodge lot. All-wheel drive is heavily recommended during active winter storms.

- This regional ski hill depends heavily on sub-zero artificial snowmaking; visitors must rigorously check daily online snow reports as mid-winter rain or warm air spikes trigger immediate closures of night skiing and tubing lanes.
- The snow tubing park runs under absolute capacity caps; walk-up ticketing is systematically denied during mid-winter weekends, rendering advanced online reservation days prior mandatory to bypass direct at-gate turnarounds.
- Access roads develop intense black ice and hard-packed snowpack patterns after coastal storms; non-AWD vehicles and cars unequipped with dedicated winter snow tires are prohibited from ascending the steep unpaved ski lot inclines.

- The base lodge and chalet facilities look dated and cramped. Restrooms have long lines at peak times and seats are hard to secure.
- Snowmaking and grooming can be inconsistent during late winter warm spells, creating icy patches or exposed dirt on some slopes.
- The snow tubing area is extremely popular on weekends, leading to strict line limits and long queues. Waiting in freezing winds is exhausting.
