Overview
Legoland California Resort is a theme park in Carlsbad, California, United States, about 35 miles north of San Diego. Opening on March 20, 1999, it was the first Legoland park to open outside of Europe. It has over 60 rides, shows, and attractions, plus a water park, an aquarium and two hotels.

Getting ThereFrom Downtown San Diego, take the North County Transit District COASTER train north to Carlsbad Village or Carlsbad Poinsettia station, then transfer to Bus Route 444 or take a short rideshare. If driving, take I-5 N to the Cannon Road exit, drive east for about a mile, and turn right onto Legoland Drive to reach the toll parking lot.

- The entire resort operates under a strict cashless policy; cash is not accepted at dining stalls, retail hubs, or parking lanes. The Water Park requires a specific upgrade ticket, and security lanes strictly ban hard-sided coolers and glass containers.
- Skip the heavy lines forming near the entrance at Coastersaurus upon gates opening. Instead, head immediately right towards the deepest sectors like Dino Valley or Castle Hill to ride premium coasters with sub-10-minute waits while crowds clog the front.
