The Martin Luther King, Jr. Promenade is a beautifully landscaped, deeply peaceful 12-acre pedestrian parkway running parallel to Harbor Drive in the heart of downtown San Diego. Designed to honor the historic legacy of the famous civil rights leader, the wide concrete walking path features beautifully maintained grass lawns, mature shade trees, and a spectacular reflection fountain. Along the stroll, visitors can read 25 monumental stone plaques inscribed with deeply inspiring quotes from Dr. King's most famous speeches.
