- The stadium enforces a strict Clear Bag Policy. Only clear plastic/PVC bags (max 12x6x12 inches) or tiny clutch purses (max 4.5x6.5 inches) are allowed. Standard backpacks and camera bags are banned with no storage available.
- On-site lots are massive and parking fees skyrocket during the Houston Rodeo or major games. Taking the METRORail Red Line directly to the NRG Park station is highly recommended to bypass hours of post-event gridlock.
- The venue is 100% cashless. All concessions and merchandise shops accept credit cards or mobile pay only. If you only have cash, you must use the 'Cash-to-Card' kiosks inside the stadium to convert cash into a prepaid card.

- Outside of major game days or concerts, the stadium interior is strictly locked. Casual tourists can only snap photos from outside the fences, making a casual visit dry.
- Concession prices are extortionate. Standard stadium fast food like burgers and beers cost over double their retail prices, delivering typical stadium-trap value.
- Event parking fees are heavily inflated, and exiting the massive surface lots post-game is an absolute nightmare. Expect to sit in gridlock for an hour or more.
- The seating incline in the highest decks is incredibly steep and tight, causing taller fans or those with vertigo to feel slightly unsafe and physically fatigued.
