Getting ThereLocated in the mountain hamlet of Bailey. Driving from Denver, take US-285 S southwest for about 45 minutes (approx. 35 miles). As you enter the town center of Bailey, the outpost will be highly visible on your right along Main St, offering dedicated free upfront parking.
Travel Tips
- Situated in historic Bailey along the busy US-285 corridor, the storefront lot is extremely cramped and cannot accommodate RVs or trailers. Drivers of oversized vehicles must park across the highway in the gravel clearing or use the designated town public lot; idling on US-285 shoulders is highly illegal.
- While the storefront gift shop is free to roam, entering the inner Sasquatch Discovery Museum requires an independent admission ticket. This compact indoor exhibit area hits maximum capacity limits rapidly during weekends and holidays; avoid the peak tour-bus windows between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
- The surrounding US-285 corridor and nearby Pike National Forest are notorious cellular dead zones. If you plan to hike documented Bigfoot sighting hot-spots shared by staff, you must pre-download offline quadrant maps inside the store and carry active bear deterrents standard for the Rockies.
