Seven Magic Mountains is a spectacularly vibrant, internationally acclaimed large-scale site-specific public art installation standing proudly in the open desert valley along Interstate 15. Conceptualized beautifully by legendary Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone, the installation consists of seven monumental towers of stacked, locally sourced limestone boulders painted in intensely bright fluorescent shades. Getting ThereSituated in the Mojave Desert about 20 miles south of the Strip. No public transit is available, making driving mandatory. Take I-5 South to Exit 12 (S Las Vegas Blvd) and follow the road for 5 minutes to the free gravel lot.

- This remote desert installation features no permanent staff, zero shade structures, and no public restrooms; stop at strip gas stations before driving out.
- Venomous Mojave rattlesnakes shelter in the rock base crevices; climbing the artwork stone bases or unleashing pets is strictly illegal and dangerous.

Heads up
- The crowding at peak hours is an absolute disaster. Swarms of tour buses and road-trippers flood the site, packing the rocks wall-to-wall and making clean photos a long wait.
- Aside from the seven rock stacks, there are zero public amenities! You won't find shade shelters, staff, or even basic restrooms and trash cans, making stays in summer heat brutal.
- The attraction scope is extremely singular and brief. If you aren't doing a photo shoot, a visit takes under 10 minutes, making a dedicated drive from the city feel low-yield.
- Set in an open desert valley, winds can be shockingly strong. Afternoon gusts whip up blinding sand and dust storms, and the dirt trail gets messy and muddy after rare rains.
