Travel Tips
- Children under 48 inches tall must wear a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket inside the wave pool and lazy river; inflatables or water wings are completely banned as life-saving gear.
- Outside coolers, fast food, carbonated sodas, and alcohol are banned at the turnstiles. Sealed infant formula is the sole exception; all bags undergo exhaustive physical search at the ticket gates.
- Upon lightning strikes within a 10-mile radius, the park executes immediate audio clearings of all outdoor water surfaces. Guests must evacuate to the indoor complex; no refunds are issued for storm delays.
Reviews
Positive
- The water park's lazy river, giant dumping bucket, and water slides are incredibly fun, making it a premier summer escape for families.
- Compared to massive theme parks that cost a fortune, the admission rates here are very wallet-friendly and offer amazing value.
- Changing rooms, restrooms, and outdoor showers are fully supplied, with trash cans everywhere keeping the park tidy.
- The number of lifeguards is impressive, and they are extremely attentive and vigilant, ensuring great order and safety.
Heads up
- On sunny summer weekends, crowds are terrifying; water slides require 30+ minute lines, and shade umbrellas are impossible to find.
- The snack bar food selection is generic and greasy, and the checkout queue moves very slowly due to inefficient management.
- Admission for non-residents is higher than for local Plainfield residents, making out-of-town visitors feel slightly penalized.
- Locker rental fees are a bit pricey and availability is limited; if you arrive late, you won't find a spot to secure valuables.
