Overview

Originally built as Hampton Street Elementary School, this historic brick building served as the schoolhouse exterior in the 1994 film Forrest Gump, where young Forrest is enrolled after his mother strikes a deal with the principal. Today it has been renovated into a community cultural center hosting art and dance studios.
