Getting ThereLocated on the cliffs northwest of the Salk Institute. Drive along Torrey Pines Road, turn onto Torrey Pines Scenic Drive and follow it to the end, where a large, unpaved complimentary dirt parking lot provides ample spaces.
Travel Tips
- The cliff edge has zero guardrails and features intense, unpredictable updrafts. Standing, lingering, or dropping bags and selfie sticks on the green synthetic runway launch zone is a major safety violation that yields immediate removal by staff.
- The massive cliffside dirt lot is entirely free but notoriously unpaved with massive pot-holes, converting into deep mud after rains. Lower-clearance cars must crawl through the craters, or opt to park along the paved access road and walk in.
