Toccoa achieved enduring global fame during World War II as the home of Camp Toccoa, the premier training ground for the U.S. Army's experimental paratrooper regiments, including the legendary 'Easy Company' immortalized in the book and miniseries Band of Brothers. Today, the city successfully coordinates its heavy military heritage with advanced industrial manufacturing, while functioning as a scenic gateway to mountain cascades and historic academic campuses.
