Established in 1792 by American Revolutionary War veteran Abner Treman, the town expertly preserves its picture-perfect, tree-lined historic downtown commercial core built entirely of 19th-century Victorian brick rowhouses. Today, Trumansburg has transformed into a major hub for eco-tourism, celebrated nationally for housing one of the single tallest and most topographically dramatic vertical waterfalls in the eastern United States.
